1970 was when our journey began. We launched Gulder in a brown bottle, which at the time was pretty unique – nobody else had a brown bottle lager. So there we were, a bold new brand, thick with personality and confident in our product. As with many things, we had a few teething problems, but by 1973, we had national distribution and continued to go from strength to strength. In 1987, we were repositioned as a premium lager and became the market leader. The success of 1987 triggered great things. Gulder was exported to the UK, the US, Italy, the Virgin Islands and Kenya. Unfortunately, governmental factors put a stop to this, but not our ambitions. Today, Gulder is ‘The Ultimate’ premium lager in Nigeria. A leader, inspiring leadership.
